At Gatti, we create out fly reels with the same performance standard, we apply to our fly rods. They must be lightweight, offer flawless performance, and distinguish themselves as a product that is a step above the rest of the market. Through a combination of material choices, precision engineering and careful craftsmanship, we are able to offer reels that do just that.

Every Gatti reel is machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, using state-of-the-art machinery for a flawless fit. All aluminum parts are hard anodized to a 50 micron depth and to a 62 Rockwell hardness to create a finish that is comparable to tempered steel in hardness and abrasion resistance. Through this process, we are able to create the toughest, lightest precision anti-reverse reel available in today's market.

Screws and other components are made from stainless steel and brass, making our reels saltwater resistant. The smooth disc drag is made from a combination of Teflon and vulcolan, and is resistant to temperatures up to 300 C. This superior drag allows the fisherman the opportunity to chase fish many times larger than other reels could handle, and to do with the confidence that his or her reel will live up to the task.

When you look at a Gatti fly reel, you may think it looks simple compared to many other reels on the market. In some ways this is true. It does have fewer components than many reels, but fewer components have fewer chances to fail. You will not find jewels or heavy attachments on the reel to add to the weight, but you will experience jewel-like precision performance. No banners, no lights, no glowing additions, just pure, smooth, tough, flawless performance

Model 1 (Direct-drive only)
This model was designed for anglers who fish for trout in classic light line situations. It's a perfect choice for a 6'6" to 7'6" rod in a 2,3 or 4 weight. The ultimate spring creek reel.

Model 2 (Direct-drive only)

Designed for 9 to 10 weight lines, this is an excellent choice for small saltwater species such as large bonefish, small tarpon or striped bass. It's also a great choice for heavy freshwater fish such as large salmon, northern pike or large bass in heavy cover.

Model 4 (Direct-drive or anti-reverse)
The perfect big-game reel, designed to handle the toughest task with an 11 to 12 weight line. An ideal choice for tough saltwater game fish like tarpon or permit, or the large freshwater fish like the king salmon or musky.

For the models 3 and 4 they are available standard spools and large arbor spools. These two spool models are interchangeable on the same frame and increase the versatility of each single model. The new Teflon bush guarantees the perfect working in hardest use conditions even in lack of proper maintenance and lubrication.

Additional spare standard and compact spools are available in black, red and gold colour. This feature makes quicker the identification and choice of the line.

 

The models n. 3-4 are available both in direct drive and anti reverse version.

 

The new group of brake-springs, insert in an only container, avoids the possibility to lose ar assemble wrongly the single parts. moreover it speeds up the operations of assembly and disassembly of the spool.
