PRIME Times Angling
Period > We Tell it Like it is < Virtually all destinations have a peak
angling period depending on location and species targeted. Knowing the
pertinent information of any location is an essential part of planning
a successful fishing adventure. We will tell you the best times to fish a
particular destination considering the species desired, and warn you of any
less successful fishing periods. NSFA considers every detail from moon phase
and seasonal weather patterns to pre-spawn periods in a particular region.
Specific Physical Conditions of Each Fishery – Spin and bait casters require
unique conditions often quite different from those preferred by many fly
casters. If you’re a serious fly fishing angler we won’t send you to a murky
river with a low fish population. We appreciate your preferences and
carefully match you with the right destination.
Fish Size vs. Sheer Numbers – Is individual fish size more important than
sheer numbers or vice versa? If you are after trophy northern pike, we will
recommend only those destinations known for their big fish population. If
you are after action and high numbers, several exciting clear water
fisheries might be your best bet.
SECOND CHOICE Species – Are you interested only in one species, or do you
want the option of catching many different types of fish? Is your focus on
trout or would you like to mix powerful Atlantic Salmon with sea run brook
trout. If you want diversity, consider one of our variety or AUX OUTARDES
RIVER trips. If you want to focus on one species, we’ll help you choose a
destination that has the best populations of this particular game fish.
Accommodation & Budget Considerations – There are many different
accommodation options to choose from. Do you want a full-service fixed
lodge, a motel, a remote outpost camp or do you want to stay within a
budget? We will make sure to show you all the options (not just the most
expensive), and let you decide which is best.

Once you settle on a particular location, NSFA goes on to provide
professional assistance regarding all pre-trip questions. We will make sure
that you arrive with all the right equipment from fishing tackle to
clothing. NSFA STAFF AND GUIDES have fished, guided,
photographed, videoed and managed camps throughout Eastern CANADA. ALL STAFF
being equally well versed in fly and conventional angling techniques, we can
fill you in on the most technical pre-trip details. When you call NSFA you
