Hey Jocelin:
I just wanted to comment on some things that we liked about our several days
with you.
1. We thought that you did a good job of sizing up what we could and could
not do. You were really helpful in helping us with our gear and tailored the
fishing to what we could do.
2. You are strong on observation. Eagles, beaver, porcupines, moose tracks,
etc.
3. The food menu was fine and you did a good job in preparation. Overall,
9.75. We liked that cheese salad dressing that you brought. It was Renees.
We saw some in the store in New Brunswick, but did not buy any as it
requires refrigeration. Subsequently, Linda learned on the internet that it
is N/A in the US. (on the other hand, I really like some candy that I find
at Wal Mart called spice drops. We could not find any in Canada.)
4. Good move that you had that Johnson 10 as a backup motor. I know that you
must have gotten really tired of starting it. (My Evinrude - particularly
after it got a few years on it - required more pulls than I wanted to give).
5. We liked the canoe that you have for fishing. Nice, comfortable seats
too. I am impressed that you and your friend made it.
6. Good map for getting back on the road. No problems.
7. Linda was not too keen on the smoked fish. But I liked it and eventually
finished the whole thing. I haven't smoked any fish in several years, but I
will try your sawdust trick on a fish or some sausage soon.
Overall, good experience. ( Re the Yahaha, the axiom is " if you can't fix
it with a hammer, it must be electrical" ).
If my health holds up, perhaps we will fish again. Ed

Salmon that I caught.

Sirs:
Thanks so much for the great fly patterns. These Clousers are great.
Question: What size "Bead Chain" are you using / with hook size?
This is important to know the Bead size/ hook size to get the correct
profile, and to get the hook to turn over and swim properly.
Thanks for your help.

Hey thanks for the great fly
pictures and history. I had to pinch hit for my father-in-law's turn to be
the club tier, he chose this fly but left me no directions. Now I am ready
to tie! Thanks

DEAR JOCELIN & NSFA STAFF
Thanks a lot for both trips we had with you in 2005 we really loved the
Outardes river for those big pike and huge trout to dream about. The service
was top notch and your wife Sonie cooking was out of this world.
I would like to thanks you for the great service and your patience in
teaching me the ropes in fly casting being a neophyte it was greatly
appreciated, you were right those big northern do pull hard on a fly rod.
Also I don’t want to forget about the Trinité which is an awesome Atlantic
Salmon & Sea run brook trout fishery this river gave me my first atlantic
salmon in my life. I will miss the seals and whales each morning in front of
my sea front cabin.
My wife and I sends are best wishes to your family and we hope to make it
back next season,
Bob and Lisa

Jocelin and Sonie
I would like to thanks you for the awesome trip at your Outpost camp on the
Outarde river Quebec this last June. We appreciated your knowledge of the
river and its lake trout that swim this great river system. I have fished
many times in Lake Ontario and have caught many lakers of the same size you
have up there but yours will pull and fight twice has hard. ( I can still
hear the reel screaming)
The food was great especially the shore lunches which I will always remember
as the best in the business. The Outpost Cabin was well equipped even better
that I would have though in that rough part of Quebec with running water and
electricity which made it a joy to come back from the long days on the
rivers with so much fish to make your arm fall off.
Next year I want to try the pike fishing in prime time so scratch me in for
July

G'day Mate.
Thank you for the invitation to view the site that you are working on !!. I
must say that I was suitably impressed with it. The photography alone is
worth spending a while on, you are indeed lucky to be able to fish in such a
wonderful place, the scenery is magnificent and the trophy fish are out of
this world.
I am glad to see that you practice catch and release !! as these wonderful
creatures deserve to be released back into the wild. If I ever get to Canada
I most certainly will come and stay at one of your sites.
As I said before yours must be one of the most exciting and worthwhile web
sites on the net ,for anyone into fishing and hunting, so if your new work
is anything like I looked at then I most certainly will look in often.
