The lake trout is the biggest of the char family, this fish offer great fishing opportunities throughout the fishing season in the 6 to 8 pound class and early in the season will take a dry fly or streamer quite easily. The bigger trophy fish are caught mostly at ice out in the middle of May and in early September because this fish species dislikes the warmer summer water conditions and heads for the deeps regions of the reservoir. However some big fish will hold near cold springs or rivers that enter the reservoir and where anglers may catch a 35-pound or more and test their equipment with these old giants. More...

In the world, there are pretty fly rods
and there are performance fly rods. Gatti fly rods are as nice to look at as
they are to cast. Hand crafted reels seats with exotic woods are combined
with the finest hard chrome guides to create a work of art. The goal of every Gatti engineer is to provide you with the most responsive fly rods in the world. We accomplish this by selecting the finest materials available anywhere and create a fly rod that is lighter in the hand, more powerful and yet smoother than any fly rod you've ever had the pleasure to cast. It's easy to create a fly rod that is powerful and reliable if you don't consider weight as a factor. In fact, many of the "premium" fly rods available today are created that way. It's more difficult to create a fly rod that is light, powerful and reliable. Here at Gatti, we consider weight to be extremely important to the responsive capabilities of a fly rod. Our combination of the best materials, unique tapers and a revolutionary process that results in uniform wall thickness on each section of the rod blank, results in a fly rod that is more precise and virtually no spine to interfere with casting performance. Add the fact the Gatti fly rods are lighter than other fly rods in their class, and you have a fly rod that's a precision tool, pleasure to cast all day and will never leave your arm feeling tired.
