North Shore Fishing Adventures (NSFA) offers authentic moose hunts on the Outardes river. in this area moose are often on the move depending mostly on food availability being kind of scarce in this area it is not uncommon to set up a Prospector tent as far as 60 miles away from main camp. So are hunts are done away in the remote section of the Outardes River and Reservoir where moose are foraging and getting ready for the rut.

Our Outardes River location offers a special type of adventures fishing via a float trip of 10 days or 7 days on the remote Outardes river access is by river canoe or float plane only. These float trips are catered to the hardcore hunter who want to experience some of Quebec best remote hunting territory. We will be hunting remote ponds, small lakes, bogs, ridges and old burn over near the Outardes River. Accommodation will be Guide tents located throughout the river System, all are equipped with wood stove to keep you warm at night

Moose Hunt Info

This moose hunting outfit is located in the North Eastern part of Quebec, Canada. We have access to literally, hundreds of square miles of country. The hunting terrain consists primarily of rolling hills and valleys stretching into countless miles of virgin wilderness. The accommodations are rustic with all the modern convenience to insure a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our outpost camp is located on the beautiful shores of the Outardes. We have a gas generator for electricity and propane for cooking. This hunting packaged is complete with home cooked meals, accommodations, and expert guide, ground transportation, and supply you with all the necessary export permits. Moose tags are also included.

Moose habits

Most of are hunts are conducted from late September to late October only because this time of year is the most successful time of the hunting seasons.

We will be hunting, spot and stalk and calling. Although the full rut is normally not before the last week of September, the cows start their initial calling in August. This is because when a cow comes into estrus she only has 48 hours in which to become impregnated. Therefore, she has to have a bull near her when this time occurs. Talking to the bulls puts the bow hunter at a great advantage when it comes to bringing the bull within shot range. Our guides are friendly, well experienced and are absolute experts in calling and spotting moose. The bow or riffle season offers hunting second to none
